Help
Short answers about getting a good highlight reel out of PeachCut.
What video works
- A full game, with the scoreboard on screen. PeachCut finds baskets by reading the score, so it needs to see it.
- At least 720p. Uploaded files below 720p are refused, because the digits are too small to read.
- A link to one YouTube video, or a video file from your computer of up to 5 GB.
When the scoreboard is hidden
Replays, ads and other graphics can cover the scoreboard, and some streams update the score late. Then a basket can be missed, a few baskets can land on one clip, or a clip can sit a few seconds off.
The editor marks a clip where the score jumped by several points with Missed baskets. Look there first, then fix it as below.
Fixing a basket
In the editor of your own game you can:
- Keep or drop a basket: tick or untick it in the list. Only ticked baskets go into the reel.
- Move a clip's start or end: drag its edges on the timeline (on a computer; not on a phone).
- Add a missed basket: pause the video where it happened and press + Add event at current time, then pick the team, the points and the score.
- Correct a score: the pencil next to a basket.
- Delete a wrong basket: the ✕ next to it.
- Rename the teams: type the names into the two team fields in the side panel.
- Undo: Ctrl+Z (Cmd+Z on a Mac). Ctrl+Shift+Z redoes.
Downloading and sharing
Download Reel in the editor builds the reel from the baskets you kept and downloads it as an MP4 file. Games from YouTube come out in 720p; an uploaded file keeps its own resolution.
Every finished game also has a public page at peachcut.com/g/…, which Share in the editor copies. Anyone with the link can watch it without an account. It shows the teams and the final score, the latest reel with a download button, and the list of baskets. If no reel has been made yet, it plays the full game.
Beta limits
- An account you create yourself can run 3 games during the beta. Games that fail and the demo games don't count. Need more? Write to us.
- At most 3 new games in any 24 hours.
- One game at a time per account.
- Usually about five minutes from the link to the editor for a two-hour stream, rarely more than ten.
Your video
A 720p copy of your game is stored on Bunny.net in the EU (Slovenia), so it plays in the editor and on the public page. The original file is processed on our servers in Germany and deleted 7 days after processing. Games, baskets and reels stay until you delete them or your account.
